I think this unit is quite difficult for me, I feel so confuse about the phonemic alphabet, but the video helps me a lot. And I think this unit show me how important are the Intonation and the stress. It is because intonation carries the message in the sentence, It can show the feeling of the person. For example, we can know that if that person is sad or happy when we hear their intonation. Also the stress of the sentence shows us which word is important in the sentence, then we can know the real meaning of what the people want to say. This subject is very new for me, I think I will read more books to enhance my knowledge, then I can build my English knowledge of the pronunciation and the phonology, then it makes me teach the students effectively.
