This unit focuses on the productive skills: speaking and writing. It also introduces the comparison between accuracy and fluency activities. For speaking there are some ways to encourage students to speak and organize activities relevant to speaking. For writing, comparing with speaking, not only are there differences in grammar, vocabulary, but also in spelling, handwriting, layout and punctuation. Besides, creative writing is encouraged. The last part of this unit is games in the classroom that include competitive games and co-operative games. According to this unit, I know speaking and writing are equally important. And there are a lot of good activities, techniques and games that can be used for classes to encourage students to speak and write.
