In this unit, I learned about the grammatical structures of the future tenses as well as how to explain their usages and structures to classes. As the future tense system is one of the most complicated aspects of English, being cognizant of commonly made mistakes by ESL learners and which activities can be used to best reinforce students' understanding is crucial to ensuring that they can assimilate the knowledge with minimal difficulty. And as the future tenses are all relative and it may be particularly difficult for students to decide which one is appropriate to use, it may be helpful to draw a timeline for the class and work through the time points specified in a sentence (as well as have the grammatical structures and usages written) on the board.
