We began by learning about the various methodologies of language learning, before focusing in on the methodology that we as beginners are encouraged to use: the ESA method. We then learned about each stage of the ESA Method: Engage, Study, and Activate, different alterations of usage, and examples for each stage.The differences between course books and lesson materials were explained really well in this unit and it allowed me to understand what kind of materials I should look for when given the opportunity to choose what to use. Also, this shows how important the materials are to students and teachers within each lesson.
