Unit 18 fulfils the broad study of the English grammar used in the course, by looking at a wide spectrum of other commonly taught topics. The unit looks closely at the necessity of understanding relative clauses, the passive voice and phrasal verbs, also the importance of modal verbs in the English communication.The value lay in explaining the role of lesson plans and how they can best be structured to be useful and help evaluate teaching effectiveness. The lesson self evaluation instrument was a new phenomenon for me and it tied up very well in examining the success of the lesson objective as well as the teacher's aim.
