Unit one is mainly divided into two main parts: (1) Teachers. (2) Learners. Regarding the first part, I have learnt the qualities of a good teacher and how he or she should be in the class with the learners. Besides, I have learnt the different kinds of roles that a good teacher should take in the class depending on the type of the activity and what he or she wants the learners to achieve. Regarding the second part, I have learnt the qualities of a good learner in addition to the effects of other factors such as age, culture, language level and motivation on the learning process. Moreover, it was very good to know the difference between adults and young learners when they are involved in the learning process and how it is that important for teachers to take into consideration how different age groups perceive the learning process and how culture too affects them, so teachers should understand that clearly before starting new classes in order for the teaching to be more effective and efficient. Besides the main two parts of unit one, I have learnt the levels structure of the English language and how the learning process is a bit different from each level to another with relation to learners and teachers. In summary, teachers should love and care about teaching and most importantly care about learners and motivate them to achieve continuous progress and success.
