Type 1 is intransitive and can't be followed by a direct object, Type 2 is transitive separative it has the object pronoun between the verb and the particle, and type three is transitive inseparable and this is when the object phrase or pronoun both come after the particle. Again practice is the best way to learn how to use these phrases.
