Unit 11 was about receptive skills and how to teach them. Reading and listening are obviously important when learning a language. It is necessary to build key vocabulary when practicing these skills to give students a general idea of the topic. Throughout the course the teacher should try to appeal to everyone's interests by changing the topics frequently. As always it is important to know the level of the students as well. I think it is important to use many examples to build listening skills to show students a wide variety of accents. I am an American so I feel it is important to show what an Irish accent may sound like.
