Unit one basically highlights the good qualities of a teacher as well as that of a learner. It also makes mention of the role that the teacher plays and how he/she needs to switch between different lesson stages. It also gives an overview of some important factors to consider when teaching such as age, culture, language level and motivation. It was very helpful since it broadened my horizon by looking at a class/lecture from a teacher's perspective and not only as a student. Also it spotlighted some key areas where we, the teachers, can spend more time in order to increase our success in the teaching and learning experience.
