In Unit 4, I learned about the different types of tenses and in depth about the present tense. There are three main tenses in English; these are past, present, and future. Each tense has four categories; continuous, simple, perfect, and perfect continuous. This makes for a total of 12 different types of tenses. I learned the affirmative, negative, and question form of; simple present, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous. I found the examples of common mistakes, with verbs, to be very helpful. I also learned many teaching ideas to use in the classroom, for the different types of present tenses.
