This is a great build upon teaching strategies. Once we know the different strategies (namely the ESA approach), this unit gives is a little bit more example of why and how to use them. It is very understandable that people know more vocabulary than they can productively use. This is very logical due to the fact that in order to use it productively, you have to know it in the first place! The teaching of language structures are definitely important as this is what will get the students to be able to actually use it correctly. Lastly, with teaching language functions, the students can reason to putting their knowledge to use!
