Unit 4 discussed about the forms and usages of the present tenses. There are 4 forms of present tenses, namely; the present simple (verb in base form), present continuous (verb +ing), present perfect (past participle) and present perfect continuous (been + verb+ing). The unit also talked about the typical errors learners make when using the tenses which enables teachers to formulate correction strategies in case such errors are encountered. Different activate stage teaching ideas were also included in the unit to give the teachers more options in providing activities for learners to further use and practice the use of tense.
