This unit provided a considerable amount of information. The matter of the course was centered on the teaching of pronunciation and phonology, with heavy emphasis on phonology. It explained how phonology is the science, study, classification, and analysis of the physical properties of sound. It then went into the detailed descriptions of the stress, intonation, and rhythm areas of phonology as well as the explanation of the International Phonetic Alphabet. While there was a significate source of information for me to process in this unit, it will all be very vital to my teaching career and to my future students education.
