This unit has been quite long and extensive. It has dealt with intonation, stress, and phonology. All the different sounds in English have been exposed and explained, as well as how and when to teach these aspects of the language. At university I learnt about phonology and the IPA alphabet, so I already had the knowledge acquired. However, I was not aware that intonation is so important and has made me realize that it is very important to teach to the students. As well, since pronunciation is an area that students lack, it is also relevant to include it in the curriculum quite often, although it doesn't have to take priority.
