This unit explains the importance of speaking and writing skills in the classroom. While speaking skills require a greater degree of fluency where the speaker will rarely have time to think and plan an answer, writing skills focus more on accuracy. There are also many ways the teacher can get the students engaged by providing competitive and co-operative games. I learned that even though some students may not want to participate in the speaking part of the lesson, it's best to get them engaged because it will create a comfortable atmosphere where the students can enjoy communicating with the teacher and their fellow students.
