From the ninth unit I have learnt how to use course books, authentic materials and created material for the effective teaching learning process. First of all it is mentioned that the course books are frequently not interesting for the students that is why it is important to involve other kind of teaching materials into the class activity. Authentic materials that include songs, videos, newspaper articles created by the native speaker and for native speakers is one of them. Students will usually like them, however the teacher should carefully choose them as they are not graded for level. Moreover in order to make lesson more beneficial the teacher may create the materials that will corresponds to the students? interest and the aim of the lesson himself/herself. However even though the course book may have a number of minuses, it should not be underestimated by the teacher as it provides a syllabus which is graded to a students? level, that have been tested before publication. Thus a good teacher should find a suitable balance between effective usage of the course book and other supplementary material.
