This unit taught me what qualities one have to possess to become a good teacher and the many different roles a teacher can have in the classroom. The personal qualities of loving the subject and to teach it, be motivating and entertaining, combined with a good relationship between teacher and class, is important. I also learned that there are many different levels of students based on their age and skills. The relationship between a teacher and a student can be complex, and it is important that the teacher recognize which level the student is on, and makes lesson plans adapted to that level. Students can have different behavioral patterns and expectations to the teacher and themselves, because of their age, culture and previous learning/life experience. It is important to make lessons that are motivating, varied, fun and interesting, and involve the students equally and give help, individually if necessary, without taking the students motivation away. A \"good\" teacher that is enthusiastic, sensitive and caring, will have \"good\" students that are successful, who enjoys learning, and who continue to attend classes.
