Why complete a TEFL courseThere is an endless amount of reasons why anyone would want to complete a TEFL course. Many people from all walks of life can benefit from earning a certificate in TEFL. My personal reasons for completing a TEFL course could be very different from a lot of people but ultimately everyone who wants to complete the course has one thing in common and that is they all want to make the world a better place by helping and teaching the world leaders of tomorrow todays motivated. As I stated above my reasons for completing a course are possibly very different from others who have decided to take this course. I will first begin with the reasons that drew me into the program and then move onto the many of reasons that someone else might have decided to take the course. At my current stage in life I have the time and energy to travel and adapt to living conditions that are a great deal away from the home I grew up in. A TEFL course allows me also a college graduate to take my education anywhere I want on earth and put it to good use. There are many of volunteer programs that allow people in my position to travel but those tend to be short in length and also very restrictive in where the person can go. TEFL has no time constraints on how long one can teach and also no restriction on where one can teach. Another benefit for my present situation is that I have intended on moving to Bangkok, thailand since my last visit two years ealier. thailand in particularly has a very strong need for native english speakers especially for their ever growing economy. Since this has been the case the teacher qualification has increased over the years in thailand. The inexperienced teacher is usually required to have at least a bachelors degree from an accredited college and a certificate in TEFL. Although it is possible for someone to find a teaching job without either of these qualifications the pay rate will not be very high where the pay for candidates meeting the qualifications is already not that high. Many other people will find many other reasons for participating in a TEFL course. Some people strictly turn to TEFL because their particular job field may have dwindled in the recent years and see this as a sure fire fun opportunity. Other people find earning a TEFL certificate as a way for their own personal growth. Not only earning a TEFL certificate is very rewarding but also knowing that you are making a difference in the world by teaching can be for some the most rewarding experience in a lifetime. These reasons for taking the TEFL course only scratch the surface. As I have pointed out my personal reasons, many others will have a collection of reasons entirely different from me. Again personally, it is a way to enjoy my time at an age where I have the means to travel and it also allots time for me to figure out what I truly want to do with my life. As I stated above the TEFL course is for anyone in the world who wants to make a difference in lives of tomorrows leaders.
